Spokesman for the Syrian Coalition Salem al-Meslet decries the “outrageous attack carried out by ISIS militants on the Virgin Mary Assyrian Church in the village of Tel Nasri in rural Al-Hasakah province, stressing that this extremist group’s ongoing atrocities will succeed only in unify Syrians and foster their determination to defeat this organization and eradicate its root cause, namely the Assad regime.
“It is imperative that we see an end to the international community’s ongoing reluctance to press for finding a solution to the conflict, and to clarify the responsibility of the international community for the continued bloodshed in Syria,” Meslet said. He warns of the consequences of the delay in taking firm and resolute action to put an end to the tragedy in Syria through dealing with the threat imposed by the Assad regime and the terrorist groups it has produced.
