Political committee member Badr Jamous denounces the Lebanese authorities’ arrest and kidnapping of Free Syrian Army officers in Lebanon, the latest of which was the arrest of Major Ibrahim Mutawa in the town of Arsal three days ago.
Mutawa fought against regime forces in the town of Qusair and commanded Al-Nour Battalion two years ago. He then commanded a rebel battalion in Qalamoun until the date of his arrest.
Jamous holds the Lebanese army responsible for the safety of Syrian defecting officers, and demanded clarifications to the circumstances of their arrest, especially that Syrian defecting officers and Syrian refugees in Lebanon are threatened by parties; led by the Hezbollah militia.
