Badr Aldin Jamous, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, said that the Syrian Coalition’s delegation “requested yesterday from the state sponsors of Geneva 2 to work seriously to ensure its success,” despite all the regime’s attempts to thwart the conference through its continuation in the killing and destruction. Jamous also said: “We feel that the state sponsors of do not put enough pressure on the Assad regime, which continues to murder and destroy, and intensify its aerial shelling on civilians using explosive barrels to stymie the convening of Geneva 2.” In addition, Jamous stressed that the Syrian Coalition’s delegation, who is currently in Geneva, met with Lakhdar Brahimi, and Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and UN officials.”Jamous said also that “sponsors of Geneva 2 want to leave things blurry, while instructing Syrians to agree among themselves.
