Ahmad Jarba, head of the Syrian Coalition, said that “the war waged by the Assad Regime does not distinguish between a Syrian or Palestinian, especially the policy of starvation it follows in the Yarmouk Camp,” during a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the Arab Summit in Kuwait. Both sides discussed the latest developments on the international scene regarding the Syrian Revolution and the Palestinian cause. The president of the Palestinian Authority expressed his country’s sincere sympathy with the Syrian people in their tragedy stressing that “the Syrian people have always shared their homes and their livelihoods with the Palestinians, and now their suffering, too.” Abbas denounced the crimes committed by the Assad regime against civilians using indiscriminate shelling by explosive barrels, which constitutes a dangerous precedent in the wars of modern times.
