President Khoja and interim Defense Minister Salim Idris visited the battlefronts in rural Lattakia and were briefed on the readiness of the FSA and their military plans. “Supporting the Free Syrian Army is our top priority as it is not possible for the Syrian Coalition and the interim government to implement their projects without securing a safe area,” Khoja said. He stresses that “we will sit with the Assad regime at the negotiating table only if this is designed to establish a transitional governing body with full powers in which Assad and his inner circle does not have any role to play. The Syrian Coalition is ready to participate in any new negotiating process provided that it continues from where the Geneva II talks stopped.” Khoja pointed out that the Syrian Coalition, the Free Syrian Army and the interim government are working together in harmony and for one strategy with the cooperation of the revolutionary forces across all Syrian territory.
