President Khoja stated today that the unofficial ban on the rebels’ receiving of anti-aircraft weapons will come to an end, adding that Washington is considering the establishment of safe havens in Syria.
“There is an increasing acceptance today of the subject of establishing safe havens in Syria. We have already seen US moves to help establish these areas and protect them from Assad’s air force,” Khoja said.
He points out that the new approach adopted recently by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, and Jordan has changed the field and political dynamics. He also said the Assad regime could fall in an unexpected moment. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Al Sharq al-Awsat)
