The Kurdish National Council’s General Secretariat reported that the PYD terrorist militia set fire to the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, one of the council’s components in the town of Qamishli, on Tuesday. This incident marks the tenth office burned by the PYD militia since March 1.
In a statement, the General Secretariat highlighted that these actions are evidently aimed at obstructing American and European efforts to facilitate intra-Kurdish dialogue. The statement vehemently condemned these terrorist acts, squarely placing the responsibility on the leaders of the PYD militia. Additionally, it called upon the international anti-ISIS coalition to denounce these terrorist acts and take measures to halt them.
The Council’s statement urged all political Kurdish parties to adopt a clear stance against these actions, condemning them and actively working to prevent their recurrence.
Reassuring its social base and political forces, the Kurdish National Council affirmed its steadfast commitment to the political principles and objectives upon which it was established. It reiterated its dedication to fostering Kurdish unity and consolidating national efforts to seek a political resolution in Syria in accordance with UN resolutions.
