Dozens of mothers have been staging a sit-in protest in front of the headquarters of the PYD terrorist militia in Hasakah city for five days. They are demanding the return of their minor children who were abducted by members of this militia and taken to compulsory conscription camps.
Enas Othman, one of the participants in the sit-in and the mother of a girl named Lava, was quoted by the Rudaw media network. She stated that she and other mothers had been present in front of the PYD militia headquarters for five days alongside the mothers of four children, including three girls. Despite their efforts to secure the return of their children, they have not achieved any results, as reported by Rudaw.
Abdulbasit Abdullatif, Secretary of the Political Committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the PYD terrorist militia against civilians in areas under their control east of the Euphrates. He emphasized that the PYD militia continues to perpetrate crimes against civilians on a daily basis, including arbitrary arrests, torture, kidnapping, and forced recruitment of minors.
Abdullatif underscored that supporting the PYD militia exacerbates the suffering of civilians and fuels migration from the region to safer places outside the country. He called for an end to support for these militias and urged holding those responsible for the crimes accountable.
