The Ministry of Health in the Syrian Interim Government has announced that a significant number of beneficiaries have availed themselves of the mobile clinic service in the accommodation centers of northwestern Syria during the first half of 2023, reaching a total of 27,216 beneficiaries.
According to the Ministry, Clinic No. 1 provided services to 8,509 individuals, Clinic No. 2 served 10,740 people, and Clinic No. 3 catered to 7,967 individuals.
In 2020, the Ministry of Health initiated the deployment of mobile clinics to cover a wide area within the IDP camps in northwestern Syria. Each clinic is equipped with a dedicated team of medical professionals, including a doctor, a midwife, a nurse, and a driver.
The primary objective of these mobile medical clinics is to offer treatment for non-communicable diseases, respiratory infections, epidemics, and skin diseases. Additionally, they aim to conduct examinations for patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma, while also providing them with essential medications.
