Some members of the Syrian Coalition criticized the international anti-ISIS alliance for limiting its military strikes to ISIS targets only while letting go of the Assad regime, the arch-terrorist in the region. Samir Nashar, member of the Syrian Coalition, said during the General Assembly meeting that the international anti-ISIS coalition should gain the confidence of the Syrian people through the targeting of regime positions. “The international alliance cannot win the confidence of the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian people unless it clearly states that toppling the Assad regime is one of its objective,” Nashar said.
