A political committee delegation met with representatives of Germany, the Netherlands and France earlier today to discuss the Vienna meeting and the positions of the parties involved.
The European representatives proposed holding another meeting after two weeks to discuss the outcome of the Vienna meeting which resume after two weeks. The Syrian Coalition stressed that remarketing the Assad regime is tantamount to remarketing ISIS, rejecting giving any role for Assad or his inner circle in Syria’s future.
The Syrian Coalition emphasizes the importance of stepping up support the Syrian people till they achieve their aspirations to freedom and dignity, stressing the need to end the bloodshed and to hold perpetrators of war crimes to account.
Vice-president Nagham al-Ghadiri said that the meeting came in the context of coordination with the countries of the Friends of the Syrian people regarding the political situation and aims to convey the Syrian Coalition’s viewpoints and its positions to the participants at the next Vienna meeting.
