President Khoja met with Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister Adel Al-Jubeir on the sidelines of the 70th United Nations General Assembly meeting on Monday morning in New York.
President Khoja expressed appreciation for the Kingdom support for the Syrian Revolution and for the Saudi foreign minister’s diplomatic efforts in support of the cause of the Syrian people.
President Khoja and the accompanying delegation will present the Syrian Coalition’s vision for a political solution during the General Assembly meeting which begins this evening. He will also raise the issue of establishing safe areas inside Syria, the refugee crisis caused by the Assad regime, and the need for the departure of Assad to reach a real political solution.
Moreover, the Syrian Coalition’s delegation will stress that Russia’s latest military intervention in Syria amounts to direct occupation, and that the Syrian Revolution will transform into a popular liberation movement.
The delegation will meet with French President Francois Hollande, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, and a number of foreign ministers of European and Arab countries on the sidelines of meetings.
The delegation will present a review of barrel bombs that pro-Assad forces drop on residential areas and markets. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
