Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Haitham Rahma, condemned the attacks being carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against defenseless civilians and worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine. He reaffirmed the Syrian people’s support for the brotherly Palestinian people, who are still steadfast in the face of the occupation forces and their decades-long aggressive actions.
Rahma said: “These criminal practices against our brothers in Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque represent a blatant violation of the sanctity of holy places and a provocation to millions of Muslims around the world, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.”
Rahma indicated that these recurrent aggressive actions by the occupation forces will not break the will of the Palestinian people who insist on regaining freedom and the defense of their sacred places. He also said that brutality of the occupation and its terrorist practices will not be able to break the Palestinian people’s will to seek liberation and independence.
Moreover, Rahma stressed that the Syrian people support the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and independence and to build a state with Al-Quds as its capital.
Rahma pointed out that the international inaction in both Syria and Palestine, represented in the impunity of criminals, has opened the way for more crimes and violations against peoples seeking freedom, peace and a decent life.
