The Directorate of Documentation of Violations and Human Rights of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) said that 21 civilians, including 12 children and nine men, were killed in attacks by the Assad regime and PYD terrorist militia across Syria in August. It said that 43 people were injured, including 17 children and seven women.
In a report issued on Thursday, the Directorate pointed out that the Assad regime and its allies were responsible for the death of 17 civilians, including 10 children. Meanwhile, the PYD terrorist militia was responsible for the death of four civilians, including two children.
The report indicated that at least 141 attacks targeted the liberated areas in August, of which the Assad regime and its allies were responsible for 134 attacks, while the PYD militia was responsible for seven others.
The report added that the Assad regime was responsible for one massacre in the town of al-Bab, which claimed the lives of 14 people and wounded 22 others. It also said that the Assad regime was responsible for an attack involving the use of international prohibited weapons.
