The Free Houran Conglomerate said that it recorded the death of 42 people in Dara’a province in December, including two children and civilian who was killed under torture in the prisons of the Assad regime.
The Conglomerate pointed out that it recorded 30 assassination attempts in the province in December, which claimed the lives of 18 people and the injury of 11 others, while seven people survived.
The Conglomerate also said that it documented the arrest of 17 people by the Assad regime in December, eight of whom were released in the same month. It also pointed out that eight arrests were carried out by the Military Intelligence, four by the Air Force Intelligence, and five by the Criminal Security Branch.
The Conglomerate also documented the kidnapping of seven people in Dara’a, the bodies of three of them were found, while the fate of four abductees is still unknown.
The report indicated that the number of detainees in the province is likely greater due to the refusal of many of the detainees’ families to provide information about their loved ones for fear of reprisal by the Assad regime.
