The Action Group for the Palestinians of Syria has revealed that a staggering 79 percent of Palestinian-Syrian victims since the onset of the Syrian revolution in 2011 were innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
he London-based human rights organization pointed out that these victims lost their lives due to bombings by regime forces, indirect gunfire, torture within Assad regime prisons, summary executions by the regime, as well as sieges and lack of access to medical care. The figures also encompass individuals who perished while attempting to reach Europe by sea.
According to the group’s report, the number of Palestinian-Syrian deaths has now exceeded 4,214, with civilians comprising 3,221 of the casualties, while 900 were militants. The group further highlighted that there are currently at least 3,075 Palestinian-Syrian detainees held within Assad regime prisons, with each individual’s name meticulously documented.
