The Afrin Local Council, under the Ministry of Local Administration in the Syrian Interim Government, has completed the rehabilitation of the Rahmaniya 1 and Rahmaniya 2 water stations. After more than ten years of inactivity, the project was overseen by the Water Directorate in coordination with the local council of Maabatli and supported by Bahar Organization.
The project included the construction of two elevated concrete tanks, each with a capacity of 80 cubic meters, which will supply water to over 8,500 residents across nine villages. The stations are powered by solar energy systems to promote sustainability.
This effort is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the region aimed at enhancing water resource sustainability to ensure residents’ access to clean, reliable water.
Meanwhile, the Local Council of al-Bab, also under the Ministry of Local Administration, announced that the Municipal Services Directorate has begun paving and surfacing Garden Road from its western edge (near the water source). This initiative aims to improve road quality and ease traffic flow, supporting safe and accessible roads for citizens.
Additionally, the Local Council of Azaz and its surrounding areas stated that its service office is finalizing the infrastructure for the southwestern ring road ahead of its paving. This project aims to relieve traffic pressure and support urban planning for the city.
