Head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, accompanied by Defense Minister Major General Salim Idris, and the commander of the Hamzah Brigade Saif Abu Bakr, conducted a tour of inspection in the town of Ras al-Ayn in al-Hasaka province to oversee the implementation of the decision to evacuate military headquarters and hand them over to the police force.
Mustafa met with commanders of military formations operating in Ras Al-Ayn region as everyone stressed the commitment to evacuating military headquarters in civilian areas, cooperating to ensure security and stability for civilians, and raising combat readiness on frontlines against the enemy.
Mustafa also met with chief of the Military Police Branch who gave a detailed overview of the tasks being carried out by the Military Police in coordination with military formations in the region.
Mustafa stressed the need to enforce law, prevent abuses, and maintain security and public order.
Mustafa also visited the leadership of the civilian police and the military judicial complex in the region. He listened to an explanation from the police chief about the tasks assigned to them and about coordination with the local council, the military police and the judiciary. He also met with judges and judicial personnel as stressed the need to uphold law and legal procedures in all issues.
Mustafa praised the work of the local council as he listened to an explanation about the obstacles, the mechanism for future work, and ways to coordinate with the SIG’s ministries.
He also met with a delegation of civil society components, including representatives of different religions and ethnicities who talked about the general situation and challenges facing them.
