The Minister of Health of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG), Maram Al-Sheikh, said that the Ministry conducted tests on 11 new suspected cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, pointing out that all the results were negative.
Al-Sheikh pointed out that the Ministry has so fat conducted 92 tests of suspected cases, adding that the liberated areas are void of any cases of the coronavirus.
The Minister indicated that the Ministry is working with the health directorates to organize and coordinate work with the organizations working in the medical sector to continue the launch of awareness-raising campaigns to prevent an outbreak of the pandemic and sterilize public facilities.
Al-Sheikh thanked workers in the medical sector as he praised the efforts being made by the SIG’s ministries and other institutions to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the liberated areas. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
