Head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, and an accompanying delegation toured the town of Al-Raie in rural Aleppo where they visited Al-Raie border crossing, the local council, and the town’s main hospital.
This visit came as part of a tour Mustafa begun to check up on the general conditions in the liberated areas, especially the provision of basic services to the civilian population.
Mustafa was accompanied by Minister of Defense, Major General Salim Idris, Minister of Interior, Colonel Mohi al-Din al-Harmoush, Minister of Local Administration and Services, Muhammad Suleiman, Minister of Health, Maram al-Sheikh, Minister of Justice, Abdullah Abd al-Salam, SIG’s Secretary-General, Faiz Nabi, and Officer of Foreign Relations Yasser Al-Hajji.
The delegation visited the new building at the Al-Raie border crossing to check up on the progress of work in it. They also visited the local council and the chamber of commerce where Mustafa listened to the most urgent needs.
The delegation also visited the main hospital in Al-Raie where they checked the equipment and the most important needs of the hospital. They also listened to the challenges facing the medical staff as they stressed the need for the hospital to be ready to receive those infected with the coronavirus.
