The Ministry of Health in the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) dispatched mobile clinics to prisons in the liberated areas in order to provide healthcare to prisoners.
The Ministry said that the move came out of its respect for human rights, adding that the move was taken in cooperation with the Free Association for the Prisoners’ Wellbeing.
It pointed out that the mobile clinics will provide healthcare to 1,250 inmates in seven prisons distributed across the freed territories, namely in Afrin, Al-Bab, Azaz and Jarablus.
The Ministry added that the clinics were dispatched to the First Central Prison, the Military Police Prison in Azaz, the Central Prison in Rajo, and the Military Police Prison in Afrin, noting that 246 prisoners have received healthcare. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
