As part of the efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus in the liberated areas, the Syrian Interim Government’s (SIG) Minister of Health Maram Al-Sheikh, and Coordinator of the Office of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) in rural Aleppo, Ahmed Al-Shehadi, held a consultative meeting with members of Aleppo provincial council in the town of Azaz.
The meeting brought together deputy head of the council, Faiz Al-Dabal, Secretary-General, Muhammad Jalo, director of the health sector, Abdullah Haj Zeino, member of the executive office, Abdulrazak Darwish, Director of the free health directorate in Aleppo Muhammed Kurdi, and director of the civil defense corps in Aleppo, Baybars Meshaal.
Participants in the meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordinate efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus pandemic and ways of treatment. They talked about the distribution of roles, especially sterilization of public facilities and speeding up the provision of vital needs and the necessary equipment, such as laboratories and isolation centers.
