The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) mourned Syria’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Nizar Al-Hiraki, who passed away of coronavirus in Istanbul on Sunday.
In a press releasee issued on Sunday, the SOC expressed its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Al-Hiraki as it pays tribute to the prominent role and efforts he made during his work as Syria’s ambassador to Qatar.
“Born in the province in Dara’a, Al-Hiraki got involved in the public affairs and issues of his homeland. He has joined the Syrian revolution since day one, making significant contributions to the civil movement. Today he passed away at the age of 58,” the SOC added.
The SOC said that “Al-Hiraki’s struggle, stances and unwavering commitment to the principles and aspirations of the revolution will always motivate us to continue down the road of the struggle for the freedom and dignity of the Syrian people.” (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
