The Syrian Opposition Coalition said that the Assad regime is responsible for the overwhelming majority of bombings, whether directly or indirectly, in the wake of the terrorist bombing that targeted the town of Sajjo near Bab Al-Salama border crossing in northern rural Aleppo.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the SOC said that “we are certain that the source of terrorism in Syria is known, and that the Assad regime is responsible for the overwhelming majority of bombings, whether directly or indirectly.
“However, it is necessary to follow up investigations to find out who is behind each attack and through direct evidence, in addition to clarifying their details and how they happened and revealing all those involved in their execution.”
The SOC said that although this type of attacks has decreased relatively in recent months, it appears that their sponsors have chosen to return to the practice of criminality. “This doubles our responsibilities at various levels, especially with regard to ensuring security and preventing infiltration of any elements affiliated with the regime.”
“The Syrian National Army and the Free Police Force are now on full alert to prevent a recurrence of such incidents and detain all those involved.”
The SOC called for swift launch of an investigation into the attack as it extended its condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
