The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) stressed that the continued ignoring of the Syrian tragedy by the international community is worsening the dangers facing millions of Syrians due to the continued bombing and aggression by the Assad regime and its allies.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the SOC said that the Assad regime and Russia continue their terrorist tactics against the freed territories in Syria. Russia’s air force on Sunday intensified the bombings on rural Aleppo, targeting civilian and military targets and causing many casualties. Meanwhile, the Assad regime’s forces shelled civilian areas in rural Idlib with heavy artillery.
The SOC also stressed that the murderous alliance of the Assad, Russian, and Iranian regimes committed thousands of crimes against Syrian civilians over the past eleven years.
It called on the international community to find an effective mechanism for protecting civilians in Syria by deterring Russia and pushing the political process ahead so as to ensure an end to the suffering of Syrians and rid them of the Assad regime.
