The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) said that the terrorist bombing that targeted civilians in a vegetable market in the town of Ras al-Ayn in northern Syria is yet “new evidence of the wrong bet made by some international parties.”
In a press release issued on Sunday, the SOC reaffirmed the need for this parties to assume their responsibilities with regards to confronting terrorism and terrorist organizations in Syria as well as the dangers of double standards when dealing with these organizations.
“We are confident that these terrorist groups and organizations will not be able to achieve their actual goals in Syria and the region and that they will lose the battle against the Syrian people.”
The SOC also stressed the dangers of continuing to provide these groups with support, financing and facilitations, as this mean they will be able to carry on with such crimes.
“The Syrian National Army and the institutions of the Syrian Interim Government need increased support in order to rein in these organizations; ensure their dismantling; and put an end to the threat they pose to civilians.”
