As part of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) reform plan and the completion of the expansion process to co-opt representatives of revolutionary bodies and institutions, thirteen new members representing provincial and local councils, the Association of Independent Syrian Kurds, and independent personalities joined the General Assembly.
The new members participated in the 62nd session of the General Assembly which started on Friday and discussed many important issues, including the latest field and political developments.
The new members are: Hussein Raad, representing the local council in Ras al-Ayn, Muhammad al-Hamdo, representing the local council in Tal Abyad, Ali Melhem, representing the local council in Jarablus, Muhammad al-Shihabi, representing the local council in al-Bab, Ibrahim Derbala, representing the local council in Azaz, Muhammad Sheikh Rashid representing the local council in Afrin, Azad Othman and Mahmoud Farhan representing the Association of Independent Syrian Kurds, Salim Idris as an independent figure, Abdullah Hajj Zino representing the Aleppo Provincial Council, Youssef Abbas representing the Idlib Provincial Council, Muhammad Al-Makhlif, representing the Deir Ezzor Provincial Council, and Jihad Matar representing the Raqqa Provincial Council.
