Abdelbaset Abdullatif, a member of the political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), has vehemently condemned the recent assassination of three commanders of the Syrian National Army in the vicinity of Ras al-Ayn, north of Hasakah. In his statement, Abdullatif underscored the gravity of the heinous crime and stressed the need to regulate the proliferation of weapons in the region.
The slain commanders were identified as Taan Abu Yazan Al-Yasari, Basil Abu Zaid Al-Yasari, and Taraf Abu Malik Al-Yasari, whose deaths have sent shockwaves throughout the region. Abdullatif warned that if the perpetrators are not apprehended expeditiously and brought to justice, the situation could escalate further, leading to more attacks on the Syrian National Army’s commanders.
Abdullatif urged the relevant authorities to launch an immediate investigation into the incident and to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions. He emphasized that a swift and just trial would serve as a warning to those who seek to undermine the security of the region and sow fear among its people. In closing, Abdullatif expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen heroes. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
