The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemned the attacks and sabotage against offices of the Kurdish National Council and its affiliated parties in the towns of al-Darbasiyah, Amouda, and Qamishli in al-Hasakah province by YPG militants.
In a press release on Wednesday, the SOC warned of the dangers of the terrorist acts being carried out by militants affiliated with the terrorist YPG militia, especially along the borders with Iraqi Kurdistan region, including infiltration attempts, bombing the Peshmerga positions from within the borders in an effort to create further tension, chaos and unrest as well as to threaten the security of neighboring countries.
“It is imperative that an investigation is launched into these crimes and hold those responsible accountable. The international parties supporting these militias must bear their responsibilities with regards to their practices and crimes,” the SOC said.
The SOC went on: “It is also imperative to put an end to the organic relationship between the PYD militia and the terrorist PKK organization east of the Euphrates, and work to stop its violations against civilians in partnership with the murderous Assad regime.
The SOC stressed that “the actions of these terrorist militias contravene the revolution of the Syrian people, their cause and aspirations, and the will of the Syrian Kurds to be part of this revolution.”
The KNC offices were subjected to a series of attacks by gunfire, petrol bombs and sabotage, with the attacks bearing the hallmark of elements affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
