The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemned the terrorist attack that Iranian militias carried out against the Iraqi Kurdistan Region with the use of missiles and drones on Thursday. The attack killed 13 people and wounded dozens more.
In a press release issued on Friday, the SOC stressed that the Iranian presence in any country leads to the spread of terrorism, devastation and instability as Iran adopts a sectarian policies to serve its expansionist ambitions in the region.
“This policy is best evident in Syria as the Iranian regime sent dozens of militias to prop up the Assad regime and participate in killing the Syrian people,” the SOC added.
The SOC called on the international community and the Arab League to step up efforts to bring peace to the Arab region by fulfilling the aspirations of the peoples; holding war criminals accountable; and removing terrorist arms from the region so that the peoples can decide their own destiny.
