Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee, Abdullah Kaddo, strongly condemned the intimidating acts that the PYD militia carried out against the offices of the Kurdish National Council in Al-Hasaka province, warning of the repercussions of these acts on the future of the region.
Kaddo on Wednesday stressed that the attacks on the offices of the Kurdish National Council and the crackdown on the Kurdish activists contradict the Kurdish values and ethics. He warned that such acts will have catastrophic consequences for the region as they risk worsening the chaos and crime thus forcing the rest of the people of the region to emigrate.
Kaddo also warned of causing sedition among the social components of the region, calling on the international US-led coalition to exert real pressure on the PYD and its affiliates to stop these practices and establish real partnership between the Syrian Kurds and the rest of the components in managing the region.
PYD gunmen burned down the offices of the Kurdish National Council and its affiliated parties in the Malikiyah (Derik), al-Darbasiyah and al-Hasakah after intimidating the people inside and forcing them out by force of arms.
