President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, has issued directives to assemble a delegation tasked with visiting elderly individuals who fell victim to a physical assault and robbery in the village of Mamli, located in the outskirts of Afrin, north of Aleppo. The delegation ascertained the wellbeing of the victims, conveyed the SOC’s unequivocal condemnation of the crime to the affected couple, and underscored their commitment to pursuing justice for this heinous act by holding the perpetrators accountable through an independent judiciary.
The delegation included prominent SOC members such as Ahmed Al-Hassan, Asaad Allito, Muhammad Salem Al-Mukhlaf, and Atef Zureiq.
Reaffirming the SOC’s unwavering determination, along with all its executive institutions under the leadership of the Syrian Interim Government, the delegation expressed their dedication to actively working towards establishing security in all liberated areas. Their primary objectives are to ensure the safety of civilians, hold accountable those who commit violations in accordance with the law, and fortify the judiciary and its independence.
The military police, working in collaboration with the Syrian National Army, successfully apprehended the suspects in the case. It was emphasized that the authorities conducted a thorough investigation and interrogation of the suspects before transferring them to the competent judiciary for further legal proceedings.
