The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) said that the terrorist bombing that rocked the town of Ras al-Ayn on Thursday along with a string of similar bombings confirm the grave danger posed by the PYD terrorist militia and remnants of the Assad regime forces in the region.
In a press release issued on Friday, the SOC said that these repeated attacks also confirm the need for all members of the Syrian National Army to remain in a state of high alert and ready to deal with such attacks.
“They also confirm the need for additional measures to eliminate terrorists and their sponsors; expand the liberated areas; and rid them of terrorism,” the SOC added.
The SOC called on the international community to take firm stance towards terrorism and its sponsors without differentiating between the types of terrorism and its sponsors. It also reasserted the need to support the Syrian National Army and the institutions of the Syrian Interim Government in order to enable them to confront these terrorist organizations and those behind them; cut off their sources of funding; ensure they are dismantled; and end their threat against civilians.
A car bombing targeted a checkpoint at the southern entrance to the town in northern rural al-Hasaka, killing four members of the Syrian National Army and two Turkish soldiers, as well as wounded 14 others. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
