The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s Al-Jazeera and Euphrates Committee convened in the presence of SOC President Nasr Al-Hariri to discuss the educational curricula the PYD militia imposed on civilians in the areas under its control east of the Euphrates River.
Participants in the meeting pointed out that these curricula promote and champion the extremist ideologies of the PKK terrorist organization.
They warned of the PKK efforts to spread its ideas among the Syrian people as they stressed the need for a UN action to stop teaching those curricula and adopt instead the curricula provided by UNICEF.
The Committee’s members recommended the formation of a committee comprising SOC members and specialists from SIG’s Ministry of Education to study these curricula; conduct a research on them, and expose the ideas that are alien to the Syrian society. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
