The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) expanded its presence in Türkiye by opening offices in the Turkish capital, Ankara, and other provinces. It has already offices in the provinces of Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep, Mersin, and Hatay. The move aims to strengthen international relations and open new channels of communication with representatives of friendly states. It also aims to step up efforts to take care of the legal affairs of Syrian refugees in Turkey.
The move comes within the framework of the SOC’s efforts to adequately represent the Syrian Revolution at the international level and convey the voice of the free Syrian people and their aspirations to the major state actors in Syria.
The SOC seeks through its international activities to make Syria a priority for the international community; press for holding the Assad regime accountable for its crimes against the Syrian people; and effectively support political transition and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254.
