The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) expressed its solidarity with the Iranian people who are revolting against the mullahs’ regime, especially with the Iranian women who are once again exposing the true face of the tyrannical Iranian regime.
Member of the SOC’s political committee, Abd Kaddo, said that the Syrian people and their political forces, especially the SOC, express their full solidarity with the rightful demands of the Iranian people, with their various national, religious and cultural components.
Kaddo stressed that Iranian women are showing absolute heroism in their protests against the killing of the young woman, Mahsa Amini. He also expressed support for the Iranian women’s just demands for equality and democracy and rejecting the regime’s guardianship.
Last week, the Iranian regime’s security services brutally beat Amini under the pretext of violating the dress code imposed by the Iranian regime, killing the 22-year-old woman.
Demonstrations swept Iranian cities in condemnation of this crime, with videos showing the demonstrators chanting “death to the dictator,” “freedom,” and “justice.” The Iranian security forces responded by opening live fire on protestors, killing and injuring dozens.
Kaddo said that the authoritarian Iranian regime has demonstrated its sectarian, racist nature as it is seeking to crush the calls for freedom. He pointed out that the Iranian regime is monopolizing power, excluding other sects and religions, and depriving non-Persian ethic groups of their national rights in the provinces of Kurdistan, Arabistan, Baluchistan, Azerbaijan and other national and religious components.
He added that the Iranian regime is not only suppressing freedoms and imprisoning thousands of Iranian dissidents opposing its theocratic rule, but also spreading its armed sectarian militias outside Iran, especially in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and others.
Kaddo offered condolences to the family of Amini and to the families of all the victims in Iran, stressing that the fate of the mullahs’ regime will be similar to the fate of the Assad regime and the tyrannical dictatorial regimes. He also stressed that the Syrian and Iranian peoples will regain freedom and dignity for which they have always struggled and made tremendous sacrifices.
