President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem Al-Meslet, announced his support for the popular movement in northern rural Aleppo, especially in the town of Al-Bab.
In comments he posted on Twitter, Al-Meslet affirmed “the SOC’s support for all forms of the peaceful, civilized popular movement,” describing it as one of “the most important gains of our great revolution.”
“We are keen to listen to the demands of the protesters and hold the wrongdoers accountable within an organized mechanism that ensures justice and accountability for all crimes and negligence.”
The Ministry of Defense of the Syrian Interim Government on Sunday announced that it dismissed the commander of the Military Police in Al-Bab in response to popular protests calling for his dismissal. It said that investigations will continue and that it will refer all those involved to the military judiciary.”
