A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) met with the Houran Revolutionary Council at the SOC’s Office in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo.
The meeting brought together SOC’s President Nasr Al-Hariri, members of the political committee, Badr Jamous, Muhammad Yahya Maktabi, Yasser Al-Farhan, and members of the General Assembly Ahmed Bakkoura, Najeeb Al-Rahmoun and Ahmed Al-Shehadi.
The meeting began with President Al-Hariri welcoming members of the Houran Revolutionary Council. He praised the formation of the Council that works to meet the needs of the people who were displaced from Houran to northern Syria, describing it an important step in organizing civil work in the liberated areas.
Al-Hariri stressed that the revolutionary movement provides real hope for achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and democracy.
For their part, members of the Houran Revolutionary Council gave an overview on the organizational structure of the Council and its administrative offices. They also highlighted the Council’s activities, especially those related to meeting the needs of the people who were displaced from Dara’a province to northern Syria.
The two sides stressed the need for continued communication and cooperation, as well as holding regular meetings in order to enhance confidence and coordination and overcome the upcoming challenges. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
