President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, received Syrian artists, intellectuals and businessmen and discussed with them the general situation in Syria as well as the latest political and on the ground developments.
The meeting brought together SOC’s Secretary General Abdelbaset Abdullatif as well as SOC’s members Muhammad al-Duaghaim and Zakaria Malahifji.
Al-Hariri commended the role of artists, intellectuals and businessmen who sided with their people against the Assad regime’s brutality. He also praised their vital role in exposing the Assad regime’s crimes against civilians and in clarifying the reality of the Syrian revolution and its demands to Arab and international public opinion.
Participants also discussed the reality of the Syrian people and their suffering after nearly ten years of ongoing crimes against them by the Assad regime and its backers.
Al-Hariri gave an overview on the SOC’s plan of action as he invited the Syrian artists and businessmen to participate in reviewing the national political vision and constitutional principles.
He stressed the need for greater cooperation in the social and cultural aspects in order to support the cause of the Syrian people in their quest for freedom and dignity. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
