The Fourth Azaz Book Fair opened in the town of Azaz in the Aleppo countryside on Thursday. The event featured the participation of 30 Syrian, Arab, and Turkish publishers, along with revolutionary and cultural figures.
Najib Rahmoun, the Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) office in the liberated areas, and SOC member Asaad Allito, attended the fair’s opening based on an official invitation by the organizers.
During their visit, SOC members were given a comprehensive overview of the book fair, which showcased a vast and diverse collection of 70,000 books and 20,000 titles across various fields of science and knowledge.
The fair adopted the theme “Today’s reader is tomorrow’s leader” and is scheduled to run for seven days. Importantly, the exhibition is not confined solely to Azaz but also takes place concurrently or sequentially in different towns across the liberated areas, including Afrin and Al-Bab.
