The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) mourned the death of the free writer and journalist Abdul Razzaq Diab who passed away in Egypt on Wednesday at the age of 54.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the SOC said that the death of Diab is a loss for the Syrian intellectual elites revolting against the Assad regime as his works were rich with revolutionary intellectual creativity. Diab wrote hundreds of journalistic articles in which he battled the Assad regime’s tyranny, injustice and crimes from 2011 until his death.
He also produced the short film ‘the Golan Heights: A Fish Bone’ which talks about the Assad regime’s selling of the Golan Heights and the suffering of the displaced people.
The SOC extended its deepest condolences to the Syrian people and to Diab’s family, relatives and friends, asking Allah to have mercy on him and forgive him.
