President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, concluded a two-day tour in the liberated areas which included a visit to the town of al-Bab and a number of towns and villages in northern rural Aleppo.
Al-Meslet was accompanied by members of the political committee and General Assembly, and the coordinator of the SOC’s office in the liberated areas Najib Rahmoun.
Al-Meslet and the accompanying delegation offered their condolences to the families of the victims of the Assad regime and PYD militia’s bloody attack on Al-Bab and visited the wounded. They met the notables of the town and ascertained their conditions and demands as well as took note of the major difficulties and challenges to improving the living conditions.
The SOC’s delegation also met with the leadership of the Syrian National Army and the Military Police, services institutions, revolutionary bodies, student associations and unions. They also visited the Syrian Tribal Council.
Al-Meslet reaffirmed the SOC’s commitment to the goals of the Syrian revolution and its demands to achieve freedom, dignity and democracy. He refuted all rumors and disinformation being circulated by the Assad regime, stressing that there are lies and fabrications that target political bodies, the opposition and the free Syrian people.
He stressed that no one can belittle the sacrifices of the Syrian people, adding that the SOC derives its strength and guiding principles from the free Syrian people who are still struggling to achieve their legitimate aspirations.
