President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, held a virtual meeting with the political committee in Idlib and discussed with them the situation in the province, especially the Assad regime’s continuing attacks and crimes against civilians and its attempts to resolve the crisis through military means.
The meeting brought together SOC’s Vice-president Ruba Habboush, members of the General Assembly Muhammad al-Dughaim, Adnan Rahmoun, Ahmed Tomeh, Atef Zureik, Muhammad Salama, Mahmoud Habib, Rafi Rahmoun, Raa’ifa Samih, Maamoun al-Sayyid Issa, Fateen al-Hassan, Ali Abdul-Majeed, Ahmed Khadro, Hamida Jeifu, Razan Al-Hussein, and Radwan Al-Atrash.
Al-Hariri talked about the latest on the ground and political developments as he commended the role of the Syrian National Army and the National Liberation Front in fending off attempts by the Assad regime forces and their allied militias to advance on the province. He also stressed the important Turkish role in consolidating the ceasefire agreement, preserving the liberated areas, and supporting the demands of the Syrian people for freedom and dignity.
Al-Hariri also applauded the heroic resistance of Idlib thanks to the steadfastness the opposition fighters are showing at the political, civil and military levels. He also talked about the province’s representation in the SOC as one of the most important issues that needs to be addressed in the weeks to come.
Moreover, Al-Hariri said that the SOC is sparing no effort to improve living conditions in the liberated areas by improving services and opening new offices in the region, the latest of which were three offices concerned with the affairs of women, the youth, and legal affairs.
He added that the SOC is working to strengthen communication with the various Syrian revolutionary institutions in the upcoming sensitive stage of the revolution’s life and to beat off the challenges facing it. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
