President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr al-Hariri, on Friday telephoned the father of the youngster, Hamza Ajjan, who died as a result of an assault by vendors in a vegetables market in Bursa province on Wednesday.
Al-Hariri offered his warm condolences to the Ajjan’s family and friends, expressing deep regret for this painful loss. He said that the SOC will closely follow the case and the investigations with the Turkish authorities so that the perpetrators receive just punishment.
Al-Hariri said: “The Syrian and Turkish peoples, known for their generosity, tolerance and good manners, reject this crime. We trust the Turkish judiciary as we are confident that the death of Hamza will not go unpunished.”
He praised Hamza’s defense of the woman who was verbally assaulted and humiliated by a group of thugs in the market, an act which cost him his life, adding that Hamza’s behavior reflected his good manners, good upbringing, and noble character. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
