President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr al-Hariri addressed via a video link the Free Iran Global Summit 2020 which is being held by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Al-Hariri saluted the Iranian people who have been subjected to the tyranny of the mullahs regime for four decades and who have repeatedly tried to get rid of the domination of this dictatorial regime but have always been met with iron and fire.
Al-Hariri stressed that the cause of the Syrian and Iranian peoples is one, which is freedom from injustice and the transition towards a democratic, pluralistic state that is based on the rule of law. “We and you are carrying on the same struggle against the same terror and criminality gang.”
He said that the Iranian regime is pursuing policies that are hostile to the peoples of the region, including the Iranian people themselves, noting that it is a disastrous policy that depleted Iran’s resources and left the Iranian people to endure poverty and deprivation.
He pointed out that Iran mullahs’ regime spreads chaos in the region, employs terrorism, exports violence and terrorism, and spreads hatred and sedition using sectarian militias, mercenaries and armies with the aim of achieving its dreams and sectarian delusions.
Khamenei’s regime has avidly sought to disrupt efforts that could end the bloodshed in Syria, Al-Harir said, adding that the Iranian regime is seeking to bring about demographic change in Syria at the expense of the security and stability of the region as well as at the expense of the Iranian people who have suffered poverty, marginalization and corruption for decades.
Al-Hariri underscored that the Iranian and Assad regimes refuse any solution in the region because their survival depends on continuing crises and igniting wars.
He also said that the peoples will always outlive torturers: “No matter how long the tyranny lasts, it will inevitably fall. We see the dawn of freedom coming as we have no doubt that both the Iranian and Syrian peoples will regain their freedom. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
