President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, sent a letter of thanks to the Office of the Prime Minister in the State of Qatar, expressing his appreciation for providing the necessary approvals and facilitating the procedures and arrangements necessary for the transfer of the body of late Ambassador Nizar Al-Hiraki from Turkey to Qatar to be buried in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Al-Hariri expressed his wishes that Allah protect the State of Qatar and its people, and to perpetuate goodness and blessings for it and all the Arab and Islamic nations.
Al-Hiraki died of coronavirus in Istanbul on Sunday. He was laid to his final resting place in the Qatari capital, Doha on Wednesday.
He was Syria’s first Ambassador following Doha’s recognition of the SOC as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people in early 2013.
He was born in Damascus in 1962 to parents from the town of Al-Maliha Al-Gharbiya in Dara’a province. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
