President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr Al-Hariri, received Head of the Association of Independent Kurds, Abdulaziz Tammo, and discussed with him the latest developments in Syria and results of the SOC’s recent visit to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
Al-Hariri talked about ways of cooperation and coordination with the leadership of Iraqi Kurdistan Region in order to find out the conditions of the Syrian refugees it is hosting. They agreed on the need for constant communication to improve the basic services for refugees.
On his part, Tammo commended the visit as an important move and positive at the grassroots level, describing it as successful on more than one level. He stressed the need to hold more meetings serving the interests of the Syrian people, adding that the SOC needs to continue to plays its role as the body responsible for the wellbeing of Syrian refugees in neighboring countries, the diaspora, and the liberated areas.
Tammo said that the Association of Independent Kurds will take part in the activities that the SOC will hold to mark the tenth anniversary of the Syrian revolution in rural Aleppo and also in the Nowruz festivals that will be held in Afrin in partnership with the SOC.
