The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) said that after attacks involving the use of car bombs and IEDs, the murderous Assad regime and Russia resumed direct bombardment on rural Aleppo as several long-range missiles, some of which carrying cluster munitions, hit the town of Al-Bab and the village of Tarhin on, causing several casualties, including children and women.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the SOC said that these attacks constitute a clear violation of the “de-escalation zones” agreement and a war crime targeting civilians as well as a continuation of military escalation.
“The parties sponsoring the political process and guarantors of the agreement must take the necessary action to force the Assad regime to abide by the agreement and prevent any new violation or attempt to resort to terror, killing and destruction as a new way to disrupt the political process,” the SOC added.
