Member of the political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salim Al-Khatib, emphasized that Iran is using Syria as a testing ground for its weapons, a practice also undertaken by Russia. He added that Syrian civilians bear the brunt of these experiments.
Al-Khatib noted that Iran is no longer concealing its weapon testing in Syria; it openly declares this, challenging the international community and its decisions. He stressed the imperative to address the danger of Iranian penetration into Syria and neighboring countries, preventing its continued support for sectarian militias across most Arab nations to carry out their criminal policies.
According to Al-Khatib, countering Iranian penetration in Syria, neighboring countries, and the wider region necessitates a unified Arab stance. He pointed out that such unity would benefit other Arab nations affected by Iran’s interference through its militias.
