The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) will hold the first Syrian Women’s Forum at the Free University of Aleppo in the town of Azaz on Thursday. It sent invitations to women who are active in public affairs and media organizations.
The Forum will discuss the reality of the situation of Syrian women with regard to the political, economic and social aspects, as well as the challenges and difficulties Syrian women are facing. It will also discuss ways to develop and improve this reality by studying proposals and recommendations that contribute to finding the best solutions.
The Forum aims to expand the participation of Syrian women and enhance the role of women in political and societal leadership.
The move is part of the plan of action of the SOC’s Women’s Office, which is headed by Vice-president Ruba Habboush. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
